Southern Kingdom® is an independent brand built on the belief that a Kingdom is not inherited. It is built one brick at a time.

It begins with pain and rejection, with the decision to build something new from what tried to break you. “Forge Your Own Path” was born from that understanding: focus, determination, and hard work are what construct a Kingdom.

The “South” represents the inner being; the heart, soul, and spirit. Before anything can stand outwardly, structure must exist within. A couple of questions arise: are you growing and expanding, or becoming stale and complacent? What or Who are you building yourself upon?

Our mission is to spur others to build their own Kingdom. Seek it. Own it. Run with it. Be a Ronin. Master your craft, live honorably, pursue peace and share what you’ve learned.

 

The Creator

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and based outside Houston, Texas, Andres Lugo has been working in design since 2005. He specializes in print and type design, with a focus on sports, and runs the independent type foundry ANDR35.

His work has appeared across three FIFA World Cups and on All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view broadcasts, along with a range of campaigns and global brands.

Describing himself as an aggressive designer, Andres approaches every project with a systems mindset, building from scratch to create solutions that last. Southern Kingdom serves as his independent outlet for custom lettering and original work, where ideas are crafted by hand and carried through with intention.
